It also serves as a safe haven, for members of the church and community to turn to, when they fall on times of need. One of our main areas of service is our Food Pantry, which partners with the Texas Area Food Bank every month to provide food for families in need within the community! We offer staples such as fresh produce, milk, eggs, meat, rice, beans, pasta, soups, canned goods and more!

RESPONSE TO COVID-19

REVIVE Community Care is committed to serving you during these uncertain times. We will continue operating as long as it is safe to do so. We are currently serving food via Drive-Thru only. A volunteer will take your information and place your groceries directly in your trunk, while you remain in your car.

It’s easy to become a client! Simply fill out the form below! Then attend our next regularly scheduled food pantry. When you arrive, we will ask you a few more questions and make sure that you meet the Emergency Food Assistance Income Eligibility Guidelines. If you are eligible, you will receive groceries on the same day! We encourage you to bring your identification with you to make your application process easier!

HOURS OF OPERATION

REVIVE Community Care Food Pantry is open on the second and fourth Wednesday of the month from 9am to 12pm. We operate a Drive-Thru format, allowing you the convenience of staying in your car. Drive-Thru lines usually start forming at 8am. From time to time, there may be an occasional date modifications in our calendar to accommodate holidays or other church events. WHAT TO EXPECT

REVIVE Community Care Food Pantry works on a first come first serve basis. We serving food via Drive-Thru only. Once you fill out out our online application, you will be asked a few additional questions to see if you meet the Emergency Food Assistance Income Eligibility Guidelines. If you are eligible, you will receive groceries from our Food Pantry on the same day. You will be able to remain in your car while a volunteer takes your information and places your groceries in your trunk.

It’s easy to become a client! Simply fill out our online form! Then attend our next regularly scheduled food pantry. When you arrive, we will let you know how much assistance you have qualified for based on the Emergency Food Assistance Income Eligibility Guidelines. Every applicant who attends is eligible to receive groceries at least once from our food pantry, even if they do not qualify to enter into our long-term program! So you will never leave empty handed on your first visit. We encourage you to bring your identification with you to make the check-in process easier!

Free Clothing Store

We’ve all fallen on hard times before, and we know that during such times, finding affordable clothing for you and your family is the last thing your family wants to worry about. That’s why REVIVE has opened a FREE CLOTHING STORE to help you and your family meet these needs. Why stress about one more thing, when free clothes are only an appointment away. We are here to help!

SHOP AT OUR STORE

Our store is open VIA APPOINTMENT ONLY! Simply select the date that you would like to attend and follow the prompts below. We follow our REVIVE Food Pantry schedule and are open every second and fourth Wednesday of the month from 9 am to 12 pm. You can expect to find lightly used items such as clothing, shoes & linens for adults and children.

CLOTHING STORE NOW OPEN

REVIVE Community Care is excited to announce that our Free Clothing Store is now open and providing clothing for our church and community!! This beautiful new ministry started in order to help provide for the physical needs of our church members and community during difficult seasons of hardship that fall on all of us.

REQUIREMENTS

We require that you make an appointment before you attend. Only one person is allowed to shop at our store per each appointment. Since each appointment lasts only 30 minutes, we recommend that children do not attend while you shop, so that you can utilize your time to the fullest. However, this is just a suggestion, we understand if you are unable to do so.

REVIVE VISION CLINIC

REVIVE Vision Clinic would like to provide you with an incredible opportunity to help you check and/or correct your vision, so that you can see clearly. In a collaboration with Better Vision, Better Hope, uninsured clients will be examined and provided with glasses, as needed for a small $25 fee, during our clinics.

To qualify, you must be uninsured and at least 18 years old. Also, you must not have received a vision exam in the last 13 months. If this is true for you, make an appointment to receive vision care below!

LOCATION: REVIVE Community Center - Located in the lower level of the Arlington Adventist Church.

COST: $25 (Covers Exam & Glasses)


CHECK-IN INSTRUCTIONS: When you arrive, please park in the front of the church within the main parking lot. You may enter the building through the side of the church by utilizing the entrance that is closest to the service road. The correct entrance will have double glass doors with the word REVIVE in green lettering. Then, check in at the welcome table and then wait to be called back for your appointment.

If your provider should prescribe glasses, you will be able to pick out your frames before you leave. Glasses are usually ready within 2-4 weeks. A team member will call you when they are ready to be picked up from the church office.

REVIVE HOMELESS MINISTRY

REVIVE Homeless Ministry is a growing ministry that is committed to making an impact in our world, through various acts of kindness and compassion. REVIVE has partnered with local homeless shelters in the community to assist and serve the homeless population of Tarrant County. It is our hope be the hands and feet of Jesus by demonstrating His love and service.

Opportunities to serve

Street Outreach at Unity Park

JOIN OUR STREET OUTREACH TEAM! Volunteers will participate in assembling lunches in the REVIVE Community Center and then later handing out the assembled lunches and other needed items to the homeless community at Unity Park! We will be serving the homeless on the first Sabbath of every even month! (Feb, Apr, June, Aug, Oct, Dec)!

Homeless Ministry Meal Service

JOIN OUR MEAL PREP & DELIVERY TEAM! Let’s make a meal together with other volunteers, that can be delivered to our partner organization, Samaritan’s House, or to other area homeless shelters. We will prepare meals in the Fellowship Hall every fifth Sabbath! Meals are then delivered and served at the Samaritan House in Fort Worth shortly after.

 

Bags For The Homeless

Backpacks/knapsacks:

Volunteers can expect to collect items and assemble different care packages that will expressly benefit the homeless population in Tarrant County. Backpacks are passed out to the Homeless during our Street Outreach Days at Unity Park!

Partner with REVIVE to help provide for community needs as they arise!

When you join our Community Care Portal, you grant the REVIVE Team permission to send you a text alert when there is a significant need that we are hoping to fill!

When you receive an alert, if you can help provide for the need or know of someone who can, simply reply to the message as soon as possible and we will contact you with further instruction. If you aren’t able to help, no response is needed. It's as easy as that!

JOIN OUR FOOD PANTRY TEAM!

FOod pantry load-in day

Provides a lasting opportunity to serve and interact with others while preparing the Food Pantry to open its doors the following day.

Volunteers can expect to unload the food collected from the Texas Area Food Bank truck; stocking and shelving these products for our food pantry community. Our Food Pantry Load-In Day happens on the day before our Food Pantry Service day. This is usually, (but not always), on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month!

We currently unload food from the food truck into our Pantry during our first shift from 10:00 am - 12:30 pm. We also need volunteers from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm during our second shift to help make grocery units for our families. Our complete list of Load-In Dates are listed below.

FOOD PANTRY Service DAY

Provides an amazing opportunity to minister to, interact with, and serve the food pantry community not only physical food but spiritual food as well.

Volunteers can expect to have meaningful interactions with clients, praying for clients who will allow, assisting clients with eligibility applications, shopping with clients in the food pantry and helping them load their groceries into their vehicles.

The Food Pantry is usually open on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month via Drive-Thru only. Volunteers can expect to arrive at 8 am & stay until 12 pm. REVIVE Homeless ministry team

The Homeless Ministry Team is a fairly new ministry that focuses on providing opportunities to reach out to those who are struggling with homelessness or are at risk of being homeless.

Volunteers can expect to make or provide meals for the homeless that can be delivered to our partner organization, Samaritan’s House, or to other area homeless shelters. Volunteers can also expect to assemble different care packages that will expressly benefit the homeless population in Tarrant County.

REVIVE RE-STORED: Clothing Store

REVIVE Community Care opened a FREE Clothing store during the pandemic, in order to provide for the physical needs of our church members and community!

Volunteers can expect to sort through new inventory, check-in and assist clients as they shop during the 2nd & 4th Wednesdays of the month. REVIVE Re-Stored follows the same dates of service as the Food Pantry and is open from 9am - 12pm.

EYE clinic

Provides an incredible opportunity to help clients correct their vision and see clearly. In a collaboration with Better Hope, Better Vision, uninsured clients are examined and provided with glasses, as needed for a small fee.

Volunteers can expect to assist clients with the process of checking in and making follow-up calls when glasses are ready. Eye Clinics are held 6 times per year.

REVIVE Re-Stored shelves are getting low on Children's Clothing! Therefore we will begin to accept donations of Children's Clothing along with Blankets, Linens, & Towels! Please wash items before donating. Items should be in good shape and free from holes or stains. You may drop off items during any Donation Tuesday from 10am to 2pm OR during office business hours!

REVIVE Community Care is always collecting food for the community!

Our Food Pantry is open every second & fourth Wednesday of the month and we serve approximately 215 families during each pantry. Every month, we partner with the Texas Area Food Bank to provide food for families in need within the community! However, we also rely heavily on the generous donations we receive from the members and friends of the Arlington Seventh-day Adventist Church. Wondering how you can help!? Next time you are at the store, pick up a few extra items to donate. You may drop off your donations at the church entrance on Sabbath Mornings inside the foyer or on Donation Tuesdays on our outdoor donation tables from 10 am to 2 pm. You can always visit this page to see our most up-to-date listing of items needed.
